Edmonton's Santas Anonymous preps for 2022 Christmas season

With Christmas just over two months away, 880 CHED Santas Anonymous in Edmonton is ramping up its campaign to ensure all children in the city have a special holiday.

The long-running initiative, which has been providing gifts to underprivileged children for over four decades, is asking for donations from the public to help reach its goal of ensuring that 50,000 children in the Edmonton area have a joyful Christmas on December 25th.

In addition to monetary donations, the organization is also seeking volunteers to help with various aspects of the campaign, including toy sorting, gift wrapping, and delivery.

Interested volunteers can sign up on the Santas Anonymous website. The organization is also accepting donations of new and gently used toys, games, books, and other items suitable for children of all ages. Donation bins are located at various businesses and organizations throughout Edmonton, and a full list of drop-off locations can be found on the Santas Anonymous website.

For those who wish to donate money, there are several ways to do so. You can make a secure online donation on the Santas Anonymous website, or you can call 780-479-2503 to make a donation by phone.

The deadline for monetary donations is December 16, 2022; however, toy donations will be accepted until December 18, 2022.
