Louisiana Sludge Pioneer Shares First New Music in Over a Decade, Upcoming Full-Length on the Horizon

New Song Features Guest Vocals from Former ACID BATH Bandmate Audie Pitre, Pre-Orders Available Now

Legendary Louisiana sludge pioneer Dax Riggs has shared the first new solo single of his career, "Even The Stars Fall", featuring former ACID BATH bandmate Audie Pitre on guest vocals. The track is the first taste of Riggs' forthcoming second solo album, set for release later this year via Season of Mist.

Riggs comments on the new single: "'Even The Stars Fall' is a song that was written after the passing of my father. When I was 16 years old, he taught me the beauty of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, and it was his love of music that made me want to be a musician. This song is about loss, sorrow, anger, and eventually acceptance.

Pre-orders for the new album will be available soon, and those who pre-order will receive an instant download of "Even The Stars Fall". Check out the song below via YouTube and Bandcamp.

In addition to his work with ACID BATH, Riggs has also been a member of EYEHATEGOD, CROWBAR, and SUPERJOINT.
