Barrett Scores Season-High 39 as Raptors Snap 7-Game Losing Streak, Beat Pacers 130-119
Toronto Ends Skid Behind Barrett’s Offensive Explosion
RJ Barrett exploded for a season-high 39 points as the Toronto Raptors snapped their seven-game losing streak with a 130-119 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.
The Raptors, who had lost their last seven games by an average of 17 points, were in desperate need of a win. They got it behind Barrett’s big night, which included 15-of-25 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 from three-point range.
Pacers Hang Tough Despite Barrett’s Outburst
The Pacers, who have now lost five of their last six games, hung tough with the Raptors throughout the night. They were led by Tyrese Haliburton’s 29 points and 10 assists, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Barrett’s offensive outburst.
The Raptors led by just four points with less than five minutes remaining in the game, but they closed it out with a 10-2 run to secure the victory.
Scottie Barnes Provides Solid Support
Scottie Barnes provided solid support for Barrett with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Gary Trent Jr. added 19 points, and O.G. Anunoby scored 17 points.
The Raptors improved to 20-27 with the win, while the Pacers fell to 23-24.
