Brett Kulak on his Return to Montreal
Former Canadiens defenceman Brett Kulak is set to face his former team for the first time since being traded to the Edmonton Oilers in July.
Kulak, who spent the first six seasons of his NHL career in Montreal, was traded to the Oilers in exchange for William Lagesson and a second-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He has since become a regular on Edmonton's top pairing, averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game.
Kulak is excited to return to Montreal and see some familiar faces but insists he is focused on helping the Oilers get two points.
"It's going to be weird, for sure," Kulak said. "I spent six years there, and I have a lot of great memories. But I'm an Oiler now, and I want to help this team win."
The Oilers and Canadiens are set to face off at the Bell Centre on Tuesday night, November 29, 2022. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.
