Eagles Will Go For Victory Against Rwanda – Eguavoen
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be looking to continue their impressive form when they take on Rwanda in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday.
The Eagles are top of Group A with six points from two games, while Rwanda are bottom with no points from their opening two matches.
Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen said he is expecting a tough game against Rwanda, but he is confident his team will get the victory.
"Rwanda is a good team, but we are the Super Eagles and we are going for victory," Eguavoen said.
"We have a lot of quality in our team and we are confident we can get the job done.
The Eagles will be without a number of key players for the game, including captain Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen, and Wilfred Ndidi.
However, Eguavoen said he has a strong squad and he is confident they can cope with the absences.
"We have a lot of depth in our squad and I am confident the players who come in will do a good job," Eguavoen said.
The Eagles will be looking to make it three wins from three games when they take on Rwanda.
A victory would put them in a strong position to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
