Furthermore, on Thursday, October 28 the Emilia-Romagna Region announced the ordinance signed by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, which puts the region in the Orange Zone starting from tomorrow, Saturday, October 30, due to the increase in the incidence index above 50 per 100,000 inhabitants.
On Wednesday, October 27, Umbria had already passed into the Orange Zone. The same provision is expected for the Marche.
That stated by the Emilia-Romagna Region: "The restrictive measures provided for by the orange zone come into force from 00:00 on Saturday 30 October and apply throughout the regional territory".
"The decision - explains the Region - was taken in consideration of the high and rapidly worsening epidemiological risk situation, with an incidence index of 55.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, against a national average of 29.
"The increase in cases and hospitalizations recorded in recent days is due to the rapid spread of the virus throughout the regional territory".
"The decisions adopted are part of an overall framework of interventions that were implemented promptly and effectively, also thanks to the numerous sacrifices made by the citizens of Emilia-Romagna".
"However, the epidemiological picture forces us to further strengthen the containment measures, as also foreseen by the national rules".
"The commitment and sense of responsibility of all citizens remain essential to overcome this new phase. "
