Ilse DeLange scores theme song for Tegendraads

Dutch country star Ilse DeLange has written and performed the theme song for the new Dutch drama series Tegendraads.

The song, also titled "Tegendraads," is a powerful ballad that reflects the themes of the show, which follows the lives of a group of people who are struggling to find their place in the world.

DeLange said she was drawn to the show's message of hope and resilience.

"The characters in Tegendraads are all facing their own unique challenges, but they never give up on their dreams," she said. "I wanted to write a song that would capture that spirit of determination."

The song has been well-received by critics and fans alike, and it is currently climbing the Dutch charts.

Tegendraads premieres on September 6 on NPO 1.
