Matildas captain Sam Kerr and her partner, US international Kristie Mewis, have announced they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared the news on social media on Wednesday, posting a photo of themselves holding a baby scan.

"We can't wait to meet our little one and give them all the love and support we can."
Mewis added: "We are so lucky to have each other and we can't wait to be parents together."
Kerr and Mewis have been dating for over two years
Kerr and Mewis have been dating for over two years, and they got engaged in October 2021.
The couple are both professional footballers, with Kerr playing for Chelsea in the English Women's Super League and Mewis playing for Kansas City Current in the National Women's Soccer League.

Kerr is Australia's all-time leading goalscorer, with 59 goals in 109 appearances for the Matildas.
