Kelly: Scarborough and Brzezinski 'Have Degraded Themselves'

Megyn Kelly has slammed former MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski for their meeting with President Donald Trump.

Kelly, the former Fox News host, said that Scarborough and Brzezinski "have degraded themselves" by meeting and having dinner with Trump, who they have often criticized in the past.

"I think it's just a sign of how desperate they are for attention," Kelly said on her SiriusXM show.

"They've been out of the limelight for a while and they're trying to get back in it by doing whatever they can to get Trump's attention.

"It's a pathetic attempt to stay relevant and it's not going to work."

Scarborough and Brzezinski Respond

Scarborough and Brzezinski have defended their meeting with Trump, saying that they were simply trying to have a "civil conversation" with the president.

"We went into the meeting with an open mind and we came out of it with a better understanding of his views," Scarborough said.

"We believe that it's important to have a dialogue with those who we disagree with and we hope that our meeting can help to bridge the divide in this country."

Critics: 'A Betrayal of Their Values'

Critics of Scarborough and Brzezinski's meeting have accused them of betraying their values by meeting with Trump.

"They've spent years criticizing Trump and now they're suddenly having dinner with him?" said one critic.

"It's a betrayal of everything they've stood for."
