Nigeria's Super Eagles have continued their impressive run in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, defeating Rwanda's Amavubi 2-0 in a crucial Group L encounter played in Kigali, Rwanda.
The victory sees Nigeria maintain their top spot in the group with 12 points from four matches, while Rwanda remain rooted bottom with just one point from four matches. Nigeria opened the scoring through Taiwo Awoniyi in the first half, and Moses Simon sealed the victory with a superb strike in the second half.
Speaking after the match, Nigeria's coach Augustine Eguavoen expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance. "I am very happy with the performance of my players," Eguavoen said.
