Scotland announce squad for UEFA Nations League clashes

Armstrong, Morgan, and Adams return to the fold as Clarke names 27-man squad

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has named his 27-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Ukraine and the Republic of Ireland.

Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong, Inter Miami forward Lewis Morgan, and Southampton striker Che Adams are all recalled to the squad after missing out on the March friendlies through injury.

There are also call-ups for uncapped Aberdeen defender Liam Scales and Kilmarnock goalkeeper Sam Walker.

Scotland will face Ukraine in Glasgow on Wednesday, September 21, before travelling to Dublin to take on the Republic of Ireland three days later.

Clarke's side currently sit third in Group B1, level on points with Ukraine but with an inferior goal difference.

Scotland will need to finish top of the group to earn promotion to League A of the UEFA Nations League.
