Steve Clarke Names Scotland Side to Face Poland as He Makes Huge Ben Doak Call
Scotland manager Steve Clarke has named his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Poland, with Liverpool youngster Ben Doak earning his first call-up.
The 16-year-old winger has been in impressive form for Liverpool's youth teams this season, and his inclusion in the senior squad is a testament to his talent and potential.
Doak is one of five uncapped players in Clarke's squad, which also includes Hearts defender Kye Rowles, Aberdeen midfielder Connor Barron, Hibernian goalkeeper David Marshall, and St Mirren defender Declan Gallagher.
Clarke has made several changes to the squad that faced Ukraine in the World Cup play-off semi-final last month, with Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney, and Nathan Patterson all missing out due to injury.
However, captain Andy Robertson returns to the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury, while fellow defender John Souttar has also been included despite recently returning from a long-term ankle injury.
Scotland will face Poland in Warsaw on Thursday, September 21, in their first match of the UEFA Nations League group stage.
