Swiatek leads Poland to decisive doubles: challenge to Italy

Iga Swiatek led Poland to a decisive victory in the United Cup semi-finals with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Martina Trevisan of Italy on Saturday. The victory gave Poland a 2-0 lead in the tie, and secured their place in the final against the United States.
Swiatek dominates Trevisan
Swiatek was in dominant form throughout the match, breaking Trevisan's serve six times. She hit 25 winners to Trevisan's 11, and won 72% of the points on her first serve.
Trevisan, who had upset Maria Sakkari in the quarter-finals, was unable to match Swiatek's power and consistency. She made 26 unforced errors, and won just 38% of the points on her first serve.
Swiatek's victory was a major boost for Poland, who are playing in the United Cup for the first time. The team will now face the United States in the final on Sunday.
