Texans' Collins set for MNF return: 'I'm playing'
Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts
Pierce suffered an ankle injury in the Texans' Week 13 loss to the Cleveland Browns and did not practice this week.
Rex Burkhead is expected to start in Pierce's place.
Collins, who has been dealing with a groin injury, returned to practice on a limited basis this week.
He said he feels good and is ready to play.
"I'm playing," Collins said.
"I'm feeling good. I'm ready to go."
Collins has missed the Texans' last two games.
He has rushed for 776 yards and five touchdowns this season.
The Texans are 1-11-1 this season and have lost seven straight games.
They are facing a Colts team that is 4-8-1 this season and has lost four straight games.
The game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
