Canadiens' Brett Kulak takes issue with Carey Price over morning skates
Canadiens goalie Carey Price was not pleased with how the morning skate went down on Tuesday
Price spoke out about it following the skate, then Kulak responded with his own criticism on Wednesday morning. The two players have been known to not see eye-to-eye on certain matters in the past, but it's safe to say that this is the most public disagreement they've had since Kulak joined Montreal via a trade with Calgary two seasons ago.
Price was not happy with the pace of Tuesday's skate, claiming it felt like a "rec league" session. He said that the team needs to be more focused and intense in their morning preparations if they want to succeed this season.
Kulak took exception to those comments, saying that Price needs to chill out and take a step back.
Kulak acknowledged that the skate wasn't perfect, but he didn't think it warranted such strong criticism from Price. He also pointed out that the team has been practicing hard all summer and that they're all committed to winning.
It's unclear at this point how this will affect the Canadiens moving forward. They have a preseason game against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night, and it will be interesting to see if Price and Kulak can put their differences aside and focus on the task at hand.
