Good News and Bad News for Texans Injury Report Ahead of Dallas Game
Quarterback Davis Mills Ready to Return
In a much-needed boost for the struggling Texans, quarterback Davis Mills is expected to return to the starting lineup this week after missing the last two games with a sprained MCL.
Mills has been practicing in full this week and head coach Lovie Smith has confirmed that he will start on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Running Back Dameon Pierce Ruled Out
However, the Texans will be without their leading rusher Dameon Pierce, who has been ruled out for the game with a high ankle sprain.
Pierce suffered the injury in the first half of last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans and did not return to the game.
His absence will be a significant blow to the Texans' offense, as Pierce has been one of their most consistent players this season.
Other Injuries
The Texans will also be without wide receiver Nico Collins (groin), cornerback Desmond King (ankle), and defensive end Mario Addison (back).
Collins and King missed last week's game with their respective injuries, while Addison suffered his back injury in practice this week.
The Texans will need to overcome these injuries to have any chance of beating the Cowboys, who are currently 5-2 and have won their last two games.
