RBC loses for the first time this season to Orion!

RBC Roosendaal has suffered its first defeat of the season, going down 2-1 at home to Orion on Saturday. Despite taking the lead in the first half through Rick Mulder, RBC was pegged back by two goals from Orion's Niels Vorthoren and Bram Wouterse in the second half.

The result ends RBC's unbeaten run of 51 matches in all competitions, which stretched back to April 2022.

RBC manager Robert Molenaar was disappointed with his team's performance, saying: "We didn't play well enough today. We were too sloppy in possession and we didn't create enough chances."

Orion manager Marcel van der Sloot was delighted with his team's victory, saying: "This is a great win for us. RBC is a very good team, so to come here and beat them is a great achievement."

RBC remains top of the table despite the defeat, but Orion is now just one point behind in second place.
